Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy is a time when it is essential to be as healthy and relaxed as possible. Massage during pregnancy will aid relaxation and stress reduction, improve circulation and respiration, and relieve musculoskeletal strain. It can also help to alleviate common complaints such as constipation, insomnia, nausea, indigestion, cramp, and headaches.

Massage in labour is very effective to alleviate the pain of contractions as it helps the release of pain relieving hormones called endorphins. A practitioner demonstrates simple but beneficial techniques for the birth partner to use with the direction of the mother. The practitioner would also show you breathing techniques and active birthing positions.
